    Bhadra Purnima

ISKCON of Silicon Valley 1965 Latham St, Mountain View

“Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is declared to be the essence of all Vedānta philosophy. One who has felt satisfaction from its nectarean mellow will never be attracted to any other literature. .. Just as the Gaṅgā is the greatest of all rivers, Lord Acyuta the supreme among deities and Lord Śambhu the greatest of Vaiṣṇavas, so Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is the greatest of all Purāṇas. .. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is the spotless Purāṇa. It is most dear to the Vaiṣṇavas because it describes the pure and supreme knowledge of the paramahaṁsas. This Bhāgavatam reveals the means for becoming free from all material work, together with the processes of transcendental knowledge, renunciation and devotion. Anyone who seriously tries to understand Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, who properly hears and chants it with devotion, becomes completely liberated.” –Srimad-Bhagavatam, 12.13.13-18 In the Srimad Bhagavatam 12.13.13 it is stated: prausthapadyam paurnamasyam hema-simha-samanvitam dadati yo bhagavatam sa yati paramam gatim “If on the full moon day of the month of Bhadra one places Srimad-Bhagavatam on a golden throne and gives it as a gift, he will attain the supreme transcendental destination.”

    Radhastami

ISKCON of Silicon Valley 1965 Latham St, Mountain View

Join us to celebrate the Appearance Day of Srimati Radharani. The complete conception of God includes God and His energies, which exist simultaneously with Him and are non-different from Him. Radha is Krishna’s supreme pleasure energy and His eternal consort. Like the sun and sunshine, Krishna and Radha are simultaneously one and different. Radha embodies the totality of love for Krishna. Thus She is known as the personification of Bhakti, or loving devotion to God. Loving God is our natural state, now dormant. By Her pure example, Radha is the beacon calling everyone to re-awaken full love for Krishna, and She showers us with unlimited mercy to help us achieve that goal. Schedule: TBD. Usually morning program from 4:30 am to 9:00 pm and evening program from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Service Opportunities For any questions, please reach out to jpt-isv googlegroups com
